Family-Friendly Underage Policy:
We are committed to fostering an environment where families can gather and revel in the festival experience, all while remaining mindful of the prevalent risk-taking and binge culture we see in young people today. With this in mind, we have crafted the following policy regarding attendees under the age of 21:

Age Limitation:

  • Due to council and permit conditions, individuals aged between 15 and 20 are not permitted to attend the event.

  • However, we enthusiastically welcome children aged 14 years and younger, provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Supervision Requirement:

  • It is essential that anyone under the age of 14 is accompanied and supervised by their parent or legal guardian throughout the event. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, especially our young guests.

Identification Verification:

  • Upon entry, underage attendees may be asked to present valid identification, in the form of a Proof of Age card or Birth Certificate, confirming their age and relationship to their accompanying parent or legal guardian.

  • Our dedicated staff and security personnel are committed to upholding this policy to guarantee a positive experience for everyone. Failure to comply with the supervision requirement may result in refusal of entry or removal from the festival premises.

Alcohol:
Each patron is permitted to bring along 2 slabs and a bottle of spirits (or equivalent) of their favourite beverages. Anything extra will be confiscated at the gate.

Glass:
We have a "no glass, no problem" policy. Please leave those beer bottles, drink bottles, mirrors, drinking glasses, jars, etc at home.
This restriction serves not only to safeguard against potential injuries like cuts from broken glass but also for the welfare of the local wildlife and the sheep who call these paddocks home for 11 months of the year. By maintaining a glass-free environment, we contribute to the overall safety and well-being of all creatures, ensuring a harmonious coexistence during, and after, our gathering.

Pets:
While we adore our furry friends, this event is for humans only! Please ensure your pets are left at home in the care of a trusted friend while you join the fun.

Guide Dogs:
We acknowledge the invaluable role of guide dogs and warmly welcome working canine companions. If you plan to bring one, please let us know so that we can ensure appropriate accommodations are made. Be sure to bring any necessary documentation for your assistance animal.

Combustible Materials Policy:
In adherence to our unwavering commitment to safety, Wild Horses Festival 2024 is implementing a stringent policy regarding combustible materials. It is imperative to note that a total fire ban will be enforced throughout the festival grounds.

  3. Fireworks

  4. Flares

  5. Candles

Additionally, the use of any other open-flame devices or combustible materials not explicitly mentioned are forbidden within the festival premises.

Remember, safety is paramount, and lighting a stove inside your tent is definitely a big no-no!

This policy is enacted to mitigate potential fire hazards and ensure the well-being of all festival attendees. Your cooperation in adhering to these regulations is greatly appreciated as we strive to maintain a secure environment for everyone to enjoy the festival safely.

  1. Strict Prohibition: Sneaking into the festival grounds without a valid ticket is strictly prohibited.

  2. Consequences: Any individual caught attempting to enter the festival without proper authorisation will be immediately removed from the premises by security personnel. Names and details of individuals involved will be recorded for documentation purposes.

  5. Safety Concerns: Unauthorised entry poses serious safety concerns for both the individual involved and other attendees. We prioritise the safety and well-being of all guests, and unauthorised entry undermines this commitment.

  6. Ticket Purchase: To attend Wild Horses Festival, individuals must purchase a valid ticket through authorised channels. Attempting to gain entry without a ticket not only violates festival policies but also compromises the integrity of the event.

On a Personal Note
Our small team of diverse individuals dedicates more than a full year of tireless effort and creativity to curate an extraordinary experience for all our attendees - all while running other businesses and/or working full-time in other industries. We are proud beyond belief of the incredible small and independent event we bring into existence year after year, and it saddens us deeply when individuals attempt to undermine the culmination of our year-long endeavour by sneaking into our event.

It’s about Respect; for the festival organisers as a small, passionate team, our staff, contractors, musicians, stall holders, workshop facilitators, performers, volunteers and for every one of you who attends our event in good faith. Your steadfast support in upholding our policies not only safeguards the festival's integrity but also ensures that everyone can revel in its magic safely and responsibly. We sincerely thank you for standing with us in preserving the spirit of Wild Horses Festival.

If the cost of a ticket poses a challenge, we encourage you to explore the numerous enriching volunteering opportunities available. Volunteering not only offers a chance to be an integral part of the festival but also provides a unique way to experience it from behind the scenes. Whether it's assisting with setup, helping attendees navigate the grounds, or helping to keep the festival ground pristine, volunteering offers a rewarding experience that goes beyond simply attending as a guest. Plus, it's a fantastic way to connect with like-minded individuals, make new friends, and maybe even work your way into a paid role! The mischievous mind behind these Terms and Conditions started out as a humble volunteer, so who knows where your journey might lead you…

Camping and Festival Grounds:

Accessible Camping:
Wild Horses Festival takes pride in offering Accessible Camping provisions, conveniently located near the entertainment precinct and featuring an accessible toilet facility. Please view our Accessible Camping Guide for more information, view our map and ask gate and/or traffic management for directions once onsite.

Parking and Camping Guidelines:
Our dedicated traffic management team is committed to facilitating a smooth and secure flow of vehicles, guiding you safely into the camping grounds and assisting in locating an appropriate camping spot.

Please stick to the designated zones for camping and parking, and avoid blocking the emergency lanes. These lanes are crucial for emergency services, so please keep them clear. If your vehicle is found parked in a lane or road, you will receive a warning note; failure to move may result in towing.

Once your car is parked within the designated camping area, it cannot be moved.

Additionally, we kindly ask that you camp with consideration for your fellow festival-goers. Keep noise levels down during the night and ensure your tents are securely fastened, especially in windy conditions.

Toilets and Rubbish:
Let's maintain the cleanliness of our playground by ensuring that all rubbish is properly disposed of in the bins provided. Additionally, please utilise the many portaloos located across the site for bathroom needs.

For the convenience and hygiene of all attendees, we kindly request that menstruating people dispose of tampons and pads in the bins and refrain from placing them in the portaloo water tanks. Brown paper bags will be available for discreet disposal as needed.

We also ask that you take your rubbish home with you. This greatly reduces the stress on our team and local rubbish and recycling company.

And please, for the love of all good things, please use the portaloo or permanent toilet facilities for any bathroom necessities. Nobody wants to find, or step in, your toxic fly-ridden poo behind their car or in the paddock in a few days' time.

Festival Boundaries:
Let's keep the party vibes contained within our festival grounds. Please refrain from venturing into the nearby National Park or neighbouring properties for any impromptu exploring or... uh... nature calls. Our neighbours, local wildlife and their habitats appreciate your cooperation.

Backstage & Performer Podiums
While we love a bit of mystery, there's no sneaking backstage. Same goes for the performer platforms – leave the spotlight to the pros.

Additional Policies

Media Policy
By attending any event organised by Wild Horses Events Pty Ltd, attendees acknowledge and consent to being photographed or filmed by contracted photographers and/or videographers. Wild Horses Events Pty Ltd retains the sole right to utilise any photographs or video footage captured by contracted photographers and/or videographers for future promotional purposes.

Please note that while we strive to capture the best moments of the event, we may not be able to accommodate requests to remove specific photographs or video footage, including those potentially incriminating moments. Remember, what happens at Wild Horses Festival stays on Instagram forever!

Drug Use Policy:
Wild Horses Events Pty Ltd maintains a strict stance against the use of illicit substances at our event. Our priority is the safety and well-being of all attendees.

  • We have a dedicated team of qualified medics on standby, ready to provide assistance if you're feeling unwell. Additionally, you'll find our valued partners from DanceWize present, offering education, support, and perhaps even a few funky dance moves to ensure the atmosphere remains vibrant and positive.

  • Individuals found distributing illicit substances to others within the event premises by our security team or Victoria Police will face immediate consequences. This includes the removal of their wristbands and escorting them off the festival site.

We remain committed to fostering a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone at Wild Horses Festival.

Policy on Political Flags and/or Emblems:
We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where attendees can come together to celebrate music, art, and community. To maintain this atmosphere of unity and respect, it is strictly prohibited that attendees display political flags or emblems within the festival grounds.

While we fully support the expression of individual beliefs and opinions, we believe that political symbols have the potential to divide rather than unite our diverse community. In lieu of political displays, we encourage attendees to engage in healthy discussions and take the opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level, beyond the realm of politics, race, religion, country of birth or beliefs. By focusing on shared interests and experiences, we can build connections that transcend ideological differences and recognise our unity as human beings.

Thank you for your cooperation in helping us create a space where everyone feels valued, accepted, and free to enjoy the festivities without distraction or discord.
